Fannin County, Texas -- The Fannin County Lake Fannin Board of Directors announce that the gate to Lake Fannin will be unlocked and open to the public on Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Come out and enjoy fishing on the lake (fishing license required), hiking on the trails, exploring the campsites or just enjoying a picnic with the family under the trees.

See this historic little part of Fannin County that the county is trying to preserve for future generations.

May 8 will also be a workday for volunteers who are encouraged to bring mowers, clippers and other landscaping tools. The plan is to start cleaning behind the bathhouse and the caretaker's cabin.
