Patsy Jean Walkup Wilson

Sherman, Texas -- Patsy Jean Walkup Wilson of Sherman, TX passed away peacefully March 6, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX with her family by her side. 

Patsy was born April 15, 1952 in Odessa, TX to Frank Mac Walkup and Ina Dell Kay Walkup. She is survived by her children Dustin Wilson and wife Jennifer of Sherman, Darren Wilson of Sherman, grandchildren Daniel Wilson, Emily Love, Zach Wilson, Graci Whisenant, Luke Wilson and Dani Wilson, sister Mitzi and husband Colonel (Retired) John S. Krebs of Moneta, Virginia.

Patsy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father Frank Mac Walkup, her mother Ina Dell Kay Walkup, and her son Danny Merle Wilson III. 

Patsy graduated from Sherman High School, Class of 1970. She married Danny “Butch” Wilson, Jr. in 1973 and moved to Ector, TX where they raised three boys. She was baptized on March 24, 1980 at The Ector Baptist Church. She was a stay at home mother with her boys for many years. She began working at Kwik Chek Foods in 1990 and loved it. She soon became assistant manager and then store manager due to her outstanding work ethic and dedication. After working for Kwik Chek for 15 years , she started working as a Food Service Manager at the Buster Cole Unit for TX Dept of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). She retired from TDCJ in 2013 after 13 years of service. 

In retirement, Patsy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking. She made the best pies and cakes! She also enjoyed shopping with her sister, and she was a devoted Young and The Restless fan! 

Services celebrating the life of Patsy Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. March 27, 2021 at The Ector Baptist Church located at 109 Mockingbird St. in Ector, TX. Brother Mark Bennett will be officiating over the service.
