The Innovation Fund continues to promote growth
into the new year
ContraForce was founded by Stan Golubchik and Ricky Melendez. The platform was built by industry security and cloud experts from Armor, McAfee, Intel, and Lockheed Martin. Both founders bring years of experience to the table working for large companies.
Their new venture, ContraForce, is a new type of Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform. Their solution focuses on securing the digital estate and helps Security and SOC teams work smarter, allowing them to implement extended detection and response to combat cyberattacks in a timely manner.
“Our goal is to make your current cyber risk management strategy more effective,” said Stan Golubchik, CEO of ContraForce. “By streamlining insights and data we’re able to gain a far better understanding on how to act on company threats, resulting in a reduction in overall costs to our customers and number of security tools required.”
The XDR platform makes it easy for existing Azure and Office 365 customers to reduce the complexity and expertise required to manage the multitude of Microsoft security services, subscriptions, and licensing available. The security company leverages artificial intelligence to automatically assess, determine, and deploy the optimal combination of security services a business requires. The ContraForce security services are preconfigured to best practices and managed by a team of security experts, simplifying security operations while optimizing costs.
“Our mission is to empower Security and SOC teams and enable them to be more efficient,” said Golubchik. “With the incredible demand we see within the security industry only continuing to increase, the scalability of our platform Allows customers and partners to scale their business outcomes and allows us to help them achieve better security outcomes and risk management.”
ContraForce has rapidly seen growth throughout their first year and is seeking to raise their seed round in 2021. The company saw the scalability offering of the Innovation Fund and applied.
“When the fund was created, we established very specific attraction verticals, it’s amazing to continue to see companies within those industries that we’re trying to attract, continue to apply and learn how they find out about the fund,” said Danny Chavez, Senior Vice President at MEDC. “Cybersecurity startups are amazing to work with. ContraForce signed a lease for their new headquarters at the Yeager Building (6401 W Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070) near Craig Ranch. ContraForce is one of the many tech companies that have recently announced their expansion or relocation into McKinney via the Innovation Fund.
“ContraForce is one of the first cybersecurity startups we’ve invested in so far and I think not only McKinney, but the Metroplex should be looking to grow in this industry sector and is positioned better than other metros to attract cybersecurity talent and companies,” said Chavez. “I see this continuing to be a growth industry for our region.”
