Trenton, Texas -- Honey Grove senior Makiyah Johnson poured in a game-high 25 points to propel her Lady Warriors to a 26-point win over the Trenton Lady Tigers.

The Lady Warriors jumped out to a 15-6 lead as the first quarter ended and Honey Grove extended its advantage to 26-11 at the half.

The teams traded baskets in the third period before the Lady Warriors finished the night with a 12-4 run to earn a 53-27 win on the road.

In addition to the strong performance by Johnson, seven other Lady Warriors scored.

Prisella Reyna put up seven points, Maddison Cason and Azia Brigham both scored six, Carsyn Lane finished with five points, Shakira Cooper had two points, with Aniyah Smith and Allie Towery each tossing in one free throw.
