Athens, Texas -- The Honey Grove Warriors opened the season with a 42-29 victory over the Tenaha Tigers.

On Friday, Honey Grove (1-0) will be on the road against Whitewright (0-1).

Whitewright dropped a 17-14 decision to Clarksville in their season opener.
