Honey Grove, Texas -- Funeral service for Rhonda Whitley, 61, will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove. Rev. Casey Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove.
Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Bryant, Scottie Bryant, Matt Bryant, Paul Pitcock, Michael Darter, and Levi Cunningham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wayne Shannon, Walter Don Brown, Stanley Rutherford, and Mitchell Neeley.
Visitation for Ms. Whitley will be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020. Rhonda Rae Whitley passed away on September 2, 2020 Wednesday afternoon at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris.
She was born on May 4, 1959 in Paris, Texas to James Ray Bryant and Charlotte Laverne Neeley. After high school, she had two daughters, Ashley and Lauren, whom she cherished most. She was a hard worker and worked most of her life in Medicare for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren Raylen and Savannah who she was devoted to. She was of the Baptist faith and was a caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Rhonda was selfless and lived for her family. She will be missed.

Rhonda was survived by her mother Charlotte Shannon of Honey Grove; daughters Ashley and husband Levi Cunningham of Honey Grove and Lauren Belyeu of Honey Grove; Brothers Craig and wife Vicky Bryant of Paris, Scottie and wife Sabrina of Honey Grove; sister Nerissa Darter and husband Michael of Honey Grove; Uncle Charles and wife Dollie Neeley of Honey Grove; aunt, Martha Burnsed of Honey Grove; and several nieces and nephews; grandchildren Raylen and Savannah Pinkston.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Ray Bryant; step-father, J.W. Shannon, uncle, Billy Burnsed; and uncle, Carl Neeley.
