Ladonia, Texas -- Anita Kay Threlkeld, 60, of Paris, formally of Ladonia, passed away at Paris Regional Medical Center on Sunday, August 30, 2020. She was born the daughter of Buddy Joe Threlkeld and Shirley Kay Long Threlkeld on April 2, 1960, in Lubbock, Texas. Growing up she attended Fannindel schools. Anita was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who really got into the games and would loudly express her opinion if things weren't going their way!

She loved riding horses in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with her Mom and Dad, and raising Pit Bulldogs when back at home. Her taste in music was very diverse ranging from a love of Garth Brooks songs to the Back Street Boys. She lived a very simple life, and found great joy in doing so.

Although she never had any children of her own, she loved and cared for her nieces and nephews in a manner that you might have thought they were her's if you didn't know any better.

Survivors include her mother, fiancee Kirk Evans, sister, Regina Ferguson (Wayne), brother Billy Joe Threlkeld (Discha), nieces and nephews: BJ Threlkeld, Delisha Threlkeld, Heather Flanary, Justin Maroney, Cody Maroney (Valerie), Gus Ferguson, and Keaton Ferguson, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Helen Faye Threlkeld, a niece, Jessica Threlkeld, and a great nephew, Cameron Waddle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ladonia, Texas with Brother Terry Bryan officiating.

Pallbearers will be BJ Threlkeld, Cody Wiggins, Cody Maroney, Justin Maroney, Gus Ferguson, and Ronnie Waddle.
