This letter serves as notification to all staff, students and their families that lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases have been identified on the Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans and L. H. Rather campuses within the Bonham Independent School District.

On Monday, August 24, 2020, Bonham ISD learned the students tested positive for COVID-19. The students were in attendance at the Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans and L.H. Rather campuses for a brief amount of time today.

Individuals determined to be in ‘close contact’ have been individually contacted by phone or in person. If you have not been personally contacted, there is no need for concern that you or your child were in close contact with the lab-confirmed individual.

All areas the lab-confirmed individuals occupied have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and are ready for use by staff and students. It is still imperative to continue good health practices, social distancing and wearing a protective face covering.

If anyone is feeling ill, or experiencing symptoms, please stay home and contact your healthcare provider.
