Betty was born on October 22, 1946 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Ray C. A. Capehart and Adell Alline Underwood Capehart. She graduated Valedictorian from North Fannin High School. Betty had a passion for learning; she earned her Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M Commerce but continued taking classes, continually pursuing knowledge. Betty was a hard worker. She held many different positions in her life including secretarial, accounting, and real estate. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bobby Gene Capehart and Glen Capehart, and sister, Glenda Osborne.

She is survived by brothers, Billy Capehart and wife Madaline of Bonham, Texas and Ronnie Capehart of Garland, Texas; sister, Pat Lee of Garland, Texas; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
