As most may know, Fannin County currently has a lease with the USFS (United States Forest Service) for the historical area of the lake. The Lake Volunteers are now, as they have been in the past, working to bring back Lake Fannin to its former glory.
The roof on the lodge has been leaking for a while and the LFV received permission from the USFS and THC (Texas Historical Commission) to repair the roof. A portion of the roof was removed in an effort to repair the leak, but it was then discovered that much more needed to be done than what the LFV could do. They have received an excellent quote but their current funds aren’t enough to replace the entire roof.

The Lake Fannin Volunteers are asking for help in replacing the roof on the historic lodge at Lake Fannin and would appreciate any help from the public in making this happen. The goal is to bring this beautiful location back to what is was for the citizens of Fannin County to enjoy.
