Trenton, Texas -- The Trenton Lady Tigers fall in a hard fought battle against the Whitewright Lady Tigers in Trenton's season opener.

Whitewright took the first set win 20-25 over Trenton but the red and black battled back to take sets two (25-23) and three (25-12).  Set four went back to the visiting team 23-25 and Whitewright finally took the road win 14-16 over Trenton.

Trenton was led by seniors Maddison Lavoie's 12 kills and 14 digs and Gracie Holden's 7 kills, 10 digs and 13 assists.  Misty Spindle dished out 11 assists and 5 digs, Viviana Murphy had 3 blocks, 7 kills and 5 digs, Danna Orozco had 3 kils and 2 blocks, Kali Johnson 5 kills, Autumn Miles had 12 digs, Ashley Garcia-Peralta 5 digs and Caitlin Jones 4 digs with an ace.
