Tamela Collins and Ronald Sadler of the Fannin County 911 Dispatch Office both received awards February 27, at the 9-1-1 Telecommunications Banquet for their outstanding work.

Tamela received the Silent Hero Award and Ronald received the Life-Saving Award as well as the Telecommunicator of the Year award.

Ronald Sadler and Tamela Collins

This event was hosted by the Texoma Council of Governments, a volunteer organization for the counties of Fannin, Cooke and Grayson.  Telecommunicators are the link between persons who need emergency services and those who provide emergency services.  These are very significant and often times stressful positions

Fannin County has an amazing 911 response team at the dispatch office.  These awards speak volumes regarding the character and personal dedication the employees demonstrate.  Fannin County is represented very well by all the members of the Fannin County Dispatch Center and personally, I am very proud of all our telecommunicators who commit themselves to put other's needs above their own.
