Bonham, Texas -- On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, representatives of First United Bank in Bonham made a $1,000 donation to the City of Bonham to be used for the splash pad being constructed in Powder Creek Park.

Alan McDonald, First United Community Bank President - Bonham presented the check to Bonham City Councilmember Tony Rodriguez and Bonham City Manager Sean Pate.

Certain to be a favorite treat for area children this summer, the splash pad is being funded by community support. The sprawling Powder Creek Park complex contains a hiking path, community playground, picnic tables, public restrooms, benches and the remnants of a historic dam used by the railroad during the steam-engine era.

Powder Creek Park is located at 400 South 5th Street in Bonham.
