Honey Grove, Texas -- The Reading Buddies held a Christmas party last week at Honey Grove Elementary.

 For 4 years volunteers organized by the United Methodist Women of McKenzie Methodist Church have read with first & second grade students at Honey Elementary once a week.

The 25 volunteers share their love of reading with the students, while improving the reading skills of the students.  As you can see from the photos, everyone (adults and students) enjoy and benefit from this program.

At the Christmas party each student was given two new books to take home and share with the entire family.  Funds for the new books were provided by the United Methodist Women.
