Lynn Colbert

Bonham, Texas -- Visitation for Lynn Colbert, 63, of Bonham, Texas will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Wise Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date to lay Lynn to rest next to her beloved son, Michael, at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Lynn passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center in Bonham, Texas.

Lynn was born on July 6, 1956 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of William Raynard Starr and Geraldine Louise Derr Starr. She earned her GED and went on to study computer technology at Grayson County College. Lynn married Jonathan Asberry Colbert on June 2, 1989 in Durant, Oklahoma. They were married for thirty years, but together for many more, before her passing. Lynn was obsessed with World of Warcraft; her family considered her a big nerd because of this obsession. She was a homemaker, loving mother and wife. Lynn will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, SSG Michael Shank; and brother, Max Starr.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Jonathan Colbert of Bonham, Texas; son, Ronnie Colbert of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Robin Hubbard and husband Douglas Westall of Sherman, Texas; sister, Jeanie Starr of Corpus Christi, Texas; 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
