Sherman, Texas -- Dozens of musicians decked out in holiday attire entertained a crowd gathered on the Grayson County Courthouse lawn Saturday night as downtown Sherman, Texas hosted its fourth annual Christmas Thunder.

Following the free family-friendly Christmas concert,  music education students from Southeaster Oklahoma State University in Durant offered a musical petting zoo to encourage children to actually hold and try various instruments in order to help aspiring musicians make an informed choice of instrument.

The event was made possible by Old Iron Post in downtown Sherman, the Music Department of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, First United Methodist Church of Sherman and the Grayson County Commissioners Court.
