Sulphur Bluff, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles defeated Detroit and Rivercrest to win consolation at the Cap Herman Tournament in Sulphur Bluff.
Ector doubled up on Detroit, 18-9, in the first quarter and cruised to a 55-40 victory.
Mollie Hooten pumped in 18 points to lead three Lady Eagles in double digits. Elsie Hooten dropped in a dozen points and Jordyn Blakey had 10 points.
Riley Evans put up nine points, with Carly Jones and Chelsi Petty throwing in three points apiece.
In the title game of the consolation bracket, Ector jumped out to an early lead and the Lady Eagles were up 22-13 at the half en route to a 48-33 win over Rivercrest.
This time it was Elsie Hooten finishing with 15 points to lead three Ector players in double figures. Riley Evans had 14 points and Mollie Hooten put up 13 points.
Jordyn Blakey chipped in four points and Chelsi Petty had two points.
Ector will be at Dodd City on Tuesday 5:00 p.m.
