Sulphur Bluff, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles opened the Cap Herman Tournament in Sulphur Bluff with an 11-point win over the Campbell Lady Indians before falling to Rivercrest in the second game.
Ector beat Campbell, 42-31, led by Elsie Hooten's 10 points.
Mollie Hooten and Meredith Shockley both scored seven, Riley Evans put up six points, Chelsi Petty chipped in five points, Alejandra Grijalva had three points, while Jordyn Blakey and Carly Jones contributed two points apiece.
Against Rivercrest in game two, Ector had a lead going into the fourth quarter, but Rivercrest rallied for a 39-33 victory.
Elsie Hooten had eight points, Mollie Hooten and Jordyn Blakey both put up seven points, Riley Evans finished with four points, Mary Salazar and Alejandra Grijalva threw in three points apiece, while Chelsi Petty had one free throw.
