Bogata, Texas -- The Honey Grove Lady Warriors has a slight scoring edge in the fourth quarter and that was the difference in a two-point win at Rivercrest.

Rivercrest started fast and led, 10-5, after the first quarter, but the second period belonged to Honey Grove and the game was tied, 16-16, at halftime. The teams were still knotted up at 30-30 going into the fourth quarter.

Honey Grove outscored Rivercrest, 13-11, in the final period to give the Lady Warriors an exciting 43-41 win on the road.

Demetria Pruitt led Honey Grove with 13 points, Maddie Cason put in 10 points, Kenzi Phipps finished with eight points, Shakira Cooper had five points, Allie Morrison put up four points, Aniyah Smith scored two and Allie Towery hit a free throw. 

For Rivercrest, Tatahlavia Rosser scored a game-high 14 points, Ashlin Johnson knocked down nine points, Farrah Savage scored eight, Katelyn Holt had six points and Lexi Rushing pitched in four points.
