Commerce, Texas -- A furious fourth-quarter rally by the Bonham Lady Warriors came up slightly short and the Commerce Lady Tigers managed to hold on for a five-point win.

Commerce took a 4-0 lead, but Emma Bounds hit a triple to make it a one-point game before Commerce pulled away to lead 11-3 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second period, Hannah Worley put up a three-pointer, Bounds drained a free throw and Journi Shellman nailed a triple, however it was Commerce with a 24-10 advantage at halftime.

Carsyn Hemby came up with a steal and converted on the a lay-up in the third quarter. Shellman connected on another three-point hot and Annie Upke netted a free throw, but Commerce had a 32-16 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Bonham made its move when Worley hit another triple, Upke dropped in a deuce and Shellman sank a pair of free throws. Shellman would follow with a triple and two free throws as Bonham outscored Commerce 13-2 down the stretch.

Commerce's early lead allowed the Lady Tigers to hold on for a 34-29 victory.

Journi Shellman scored a game-high 14 points, Hannah Worley scored six, Emma Bounds finished with four points. Annie Upke put up three points and Carsyn Hemby tossed in two points.

Mia Rudin led Commerce with 10 points and Breann Mulcahy had nine points.
