Bonham, Texas -- Gaynell Moore Griffin, 82, died peacefully on November 21, 2019 at the Brookdale Patriot Heights Skill Nursing facility, San Antonio, Texas. Her death was caused by natural complications. Her daughter Saleta Gay Griffin Chatterton and son Jack Warren Griffin were at her bedside.

Gaynell was born in Bonham, Texas, November 3, 1937 to Jack and Dorothy Thornton Moore. She attended Bonham High School at which time she met her husband to be, Warren Richard Griffin. They were married on October 7, 1954 in Bonham.

They had four children; Jack Warren, Saleta Gay, Dennis
Wayne and Deborah Faye.

Later in life, she was employed by Raytheon, defense products group in Garland, Texas and Walmart in Bonham.

Gaynell was a devout Christian and member of the Church of The Nazarene while living in Bonham. She enjoyed various hobbies; ceramics, reading, cooking and all family activities.

She was a resident of Brookdale Patriot Heights Senior Living community where she had many close friends.

She had 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren, son Dennis, daughter Deborah, sister Sarah and her husband Leon Martin of Bonham.

She is survived by her son Jack Griffin and wife Cheryl of Corsicana, TX, daughter Saleta and husband Keith Chatterton of San Antonio, TX., sister Faye and husband Bill Mathews of Bonham and brother Kenneth Moore of Bonham.
