The Stop the Bleed kits will be placed
in locations around McKinney

They will be strategically located in city facilities along with automated external defibrillator (AED) devices. The kits to stop serious bleeding injuries will also be passed out to businesses and churches that take part in MFD’s Ready to React training.

“The McKinney Fire Department feels that it is key to teach the people in our community these two very basic lifesaving skills and to give them the tools to successfully step up and help during a crisis,” said Merit Ossian, MFD Public Information Officer and Education Coordinator. “We thank the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for the generous grant that is helping us protect the people of McKinney.”
