Leonard, Texas -- DJ Brown, sophomore quarterback for the Leonard Tigers, has been named the Built Ford Tough Class 3-A Player of the Week for the entire state of Texas.

"This is a huge honor for him and his teammates that come to work everyday," says Leonard head coach Shane Fletcher.

Brown has carried the ball 33 times for 224 yards and five touchdowns.

Through the air, Brown is 5-of-13 for 156 yards, with one touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, Brown is credited with six tackles and two passes defended.
