McKinney, Texas (May 23, 2019) – The McKinney Fire Department (MFD) responded to the report of a plane crash into a residential structure at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Black Bear Drive.

Units arrived on the scene to find a plane that had crashed and hit the back of a residential structure. Two occupants in the plane were extricated and transported to the hospital. No information is available on their condition.

Occupants in the home at the time of the crash were not injured. The home sustained severe damage, and the occupants were relocated for the night.

Investigators from the FAA and NTSB are on the scene tonight to start their investigation.

Pictures of the crash scene can be found here.

“This is certainly a situation that could have been much worse,” said McKinney Fire Marshal Mike Smith. “There were no fuel leaks that would have increased the danger.”
