Ft. Gibson: October 15. Elevation normal, water 64 and stained. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on live shad and minnows along flats, main lake and river channel. White bass fair on in-line spinnerbaits trolling flats and points. Crappie slow on minnows, hair jigs, jigs and tube jigs at 12-18 ft. around brush structure and docks. Greenleaf: October 13. Elevation above normal, water 73 and murky. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure, channels, in coves, creek channels, river channel, shallows, shorelines, spillway, standing timber and weed beds. Crappie fair on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, minnows and tube jigs around brush structure, in coves, creek channels, docks and standing timber. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, live shad and shad along channels, creek channels, flats, main lake, points and shallows. Arbuckle: October 13. Elevation 4 1/2 ft. above normal, water 76 and clear to stained. No water is being released at this time. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass being caught on jigs, worms and chigger craw in 6 ft. or less. Crappie slow around docks and brush piles at 19-25 ft. White bass very good on spinnerbaits in white/chartreuse and grubs on flats and back of creeks. Report submitted by Jack Melton.
Broken Bow: October 12. Elevation below, water 81. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on crankbaits and plastic baits around brush structure, points and standing timber. Eufaula: October 12. Elevation rising, water turbid. Blue catfish fair on shad, stinkbait, sunfish and worms below the dam, along the dam and river mouth. Striped bass and striped bass hybrids good on jigs, plastic baits, small lures and topwater lures below the dam and along the dam. Hugo: October 12. Elevation above normal, water 78 and murky. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, live bait and shad below the dam, along creek channels and river channel. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs below the dam, around brush structure, main lake, river channel and standing timber. Backup or Red River into Kiamichi River and flood gate release continues producing favorable cat fishing below Hugo Dam. Gates expected to remain open with continued rainfall. Texoma: October 13. Elevation rising, water muddy. Largemouth bass slow on Alabama rigs in the main lake. The lake is rising rapidly, most ramps are closed. Catfish Bay ramps are still open at this point in time, lots of debris is floating in the lake so use caution if you’re on the water. Lots of roads surrounding the lake are under water; do not use roads if submerged in water. Please turn around don’t drown. Report submitted by Trey Hale, game warden stationed in Bryan County.
Wister: October 12. Elevation above normal, water cloudy. Largemouth bass good on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure, channels, points and shorelines.
