Fishing report as of May 30, 2017

CENTRAL
 
Arcadia: May 30. Lake elevation is normal. Water temperature is 74 degrees and clearing. Largemouth bass have fair action on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and plastics in weed beds and along shorelines. White crappie are slow on jigs and minnows on brush structure and at docks. Channel catfish and blue catfish are slow on cut bait and shad on points and riprap. Submitted by Mark Murray.
 
Draper: May 30. Lake Elevation is below. Water is 68 and cloudy. White crappie are fair on jigs and minnows around brush structure, docks and rocks. White bass are good on crankbaits and inline spinnerbaits on points. Catfish are fair on cut bait and shad in channels and on main lake. Report submitted by Tell Judkins.
 
Overholser: May 29. Lake elevation is above average. Water clarity is murky to muddy. Striped (hybrid) bass and white bass are fair on chicken liver, crawfish, cut bait, jigs, shad and shrimp on the dam, at the main lake, in discharge and below the dam. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, live bait, shad and chicken liver on the main lake, below the dam, and in the discharge.. White crappie slow on jigs and minnows on riprap, rocks and below the dam. There is one gate open, people are catching fish off the dam straight down in turbulent waters. Carp, buffalo and drum are being caught in the basin area using worms, dough bait and a variety of other baits. Catfish and hybrid striped bass are being caught in the main lake using the above bait by ballooning the bait into the lake and fishing on bottom. Sunfish are being caught along the shoreline using worms. Submitted by Vince Mesis.
 
Thunderbird: May 30. Elevation is normal. Water is 67 and stained. Saugeye are excellent on crankbaits and plastics in channels, dam and points. White crappie are fair on jigs and minnows on docks, points and rocks. Channel and blue catfish are fair on chicken liver, cut bait and shad in the channels and in the main lake. Wes Watkins: May 30. Lake elevation is normal. Water clarity is clear. Channel catfish and blue catfish are good on chicken liver, punch bait, shrimp and worms on riprap and creek mouths. Largemouth bass fair on plastics on brush structure. Catching bass and crappie in 8-10 feet of water. Submitted by Mike France.
 
NORTHEAST
 
Bell Cow: May 29. The lake elevation is above average, 82 degrees and the water is muddy. Channel catfish are good on chicken liver, cut bait, stinkbait and worms on riprap, rocks and shorelines.  Largemouth bass slow on spinnerbaits on shorelines. White crappie are good on jigs and minnows on the docks, brush structure and areas where water depth is 8-10'. Submitted by Gary Emmons.
 
Birch: May 31. The lake elevation is above average, the water temp is 70s and the water is murky. All fishing is slow. The lake is still 12 foot high but they are releasing water and that's the only place that people were fishing. They were catching a few crappie and catfish. Submitted by Ryan Walker.
 
 
Carl Blackwell: May 29. Lake elevation is normal with water temperatures at 73 degrees and murky. Black crappie and white crappie show fair action on jigs and minnows along shorelines. Striped (hybrid) bass fair on crankbaits, shad and flukes in the main lake and spillway. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows along the shoreline.  Catfish are good in brushy structures on worms. Over the Memorial Day weekend, fishing slowed down tremendously. Many factors could include increased recreational boating activity and/or consistently hotter days. The fishermen I spoke with were catching a few fish, but it was slow and far between. Report submitted by Emily Long.
 
Chandler: May 29. The lake elevation is above average, 82 degrees and the water clarity is muddy. Catfish are good on chicken liver, stinkbait and worms on docks, riprap, rocks and shorelines. Largemouth bass are slow on inline spinnerbaits, jigs, plastics and spinnerbaits in coves and weedbeds. Crappie are excellent on minnows by brush structure and in areas where water depth is 6-8'. Copan: May 27. All fishing is slow. At the time of the report, the lake level is 11.5' above normal.  Submitted by Joe Alexander.
 
Eucha: May 29. The lake elevation is normal, water is high 60's and muddy. Largemouth bass are slow on jigs and spinnerbaits along shorelines, shallows and weed beds. White bass are fair on shad and worms in creek channels and riprap. Catfish are fair on shad and worms along the channels and riprap. Submitted by Game Warden Cody Morris.
 
Grand: May 30. Lake elevation is above average. Water temperature is 70 degrees and stained. White crappie and black crappie good on jigs, minnows and plastics on brush structure, in shallows, coves and docks. White bass excellent on Sassy Shad, spoons, rooster tails and plastics below the dam, Elk River and Blue Bluff. Blue catfish show good action on shad below the dam, in flats, main lake and mud flats. Greenleaf: May 30. Elevation is above average with water temperature 72 degrees and murky. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on bill baits, buzz baits, in-line spinnerbait, and top water on brush structure, flats, riprap, shorelines, and weed beds. Black crappie and white crappie fair on jigs, hair jigs, minnows and tube jigs on brush structure, standing timber and 8-12' of water. Report submitted by Lark Wilson.
 
Hudson: May 28. The lake elevation is above average, water temps are lower 70s and the water clarity is muddy. Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits and  jigs in coves, shallows and along shorelines. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows in brush structure and docks. White crappie are fair on jigs and minnows along brush structure and docks.  Lake level is at 627, 8 feet above normal. Boat access to the lake is limited with most public boat ramps under water with the exception of the lions club ramp on the north side of highway 20 on the east side of the lake. Hulah: May 14. All fishing is slow.  Lake level at the time of the report is 21 ft. above normal. Submitted by Joe Alexander.
 
 
Kaw: May 28. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait and worms in shallows, flooded farm fields and flooded willows. White crappie fair on jigs and minnows in coves and riprap. Kaw is 23' above normal. The floodgates are open and the lake should drop around 12' per day. Bow fishing is very good for carp and gar. Paddlefish snagging below the dam has slowed down considerably. Fishing for all other species of fish in the tailwaters should get better every day.
 
Keystone: May 30. Lake elevation is above dropping and muddy. Blue catfish are good on cut bait below the dam and in the river channel. White bass and crappie good on jigs and minnows below the dam. Water level was 20' above normal for Memorial Day weekend, but water level has started to fall. Most ramps were closed. Report submitted by Karlin Bailey.
 
Lower Illinois: May 28. The lake elevation is normal, water temps are 60 degrees and water clarity is muddy. Rainbow trout are slow on Powerbait below the dam. White bass are fair on in-line spinnerbaits, crankbaits and grubs in creek channels. Trout stocking has been postponed until further notice. Submitted by Game Warden Jeremy Bersche.
 
Oologah: May 29. The lake elevation is above average, water temps are 65 and the water clarity is muddy. Blue and channel catfish are fair on cut bait and shad below the dam. Blue catfish are fair on cut bait and shad in the flats. Blue catfish in lake being caught on Juglines on flats 10 ft. Lake elevation 13 ft above normal and falling. Skiatook May 29. White and striped bass are fair on inline spinnerbaits, lipless baits and sassy shad along riprap early in the mornings and late in evenings. All other fishing slow. As of 5-29-2017 the only boat ramp that is open is to the south at the Black Dog ramp. Submitted by Paul Welch.
 
Spavinaw: May 29. The lake elevation is normal, water temps are high 60's and water clarity is muddy. White crappie are good on jigs and minnows along brush structure and discharge. Blue and channel catfish are good on shad and worms in channels and discharge. Flathead catfish are fair on live bait in channels and discharge. Submitted by Game Warden Cody Morris.
 
Tenkiller: May 30. The lake elevation is above average, temp is low 70's and water clarity is murky. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and topwater along shorelines, in the main lake. Channel catfish fair on punch bait and stinkbait on points and in the main lake. Anchor in 17-20' water off points. Report submitted by Monte Brooks.
 
Webbers Falls: May 30. Lake elevation is above average. Water temperature is 72 degrees and murky. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on bill baits, buzz baits and  jerk baits in channels, coves, creek channels, in standing timber along shorelines and weed beds. Black crappie and white crappie fair on hair jigs, grubs, minnows, tube jigs, and purple and black  jigs on brush structure, in creek channels, coves, standing timber and 8-10' of water.. NORTHWEST
 
Ft. Supply: May 31. Elevation is above average. Water is clear.  White crappie good on jigs and minnows in coves, dam, main lake, riprap and spillway. Report submitted by Mark Reichenberger. 
 
SOUTHEAST
 
Arbuckle: May 29. The lake elevation is above average with temps around 67 degrees and clear. Largemouth Bass, smallmouth bass are fair on crankbaits in the brush structure and riprap. White bass are good on jigs and minnows in creek channels and flats.  Submitted by Jack Melton.
 
Broken Bow: May 28. Elevation is normal, temp is 73. Bass are good on plastics and spinnerbaits along brush structure, points and standing timber. Crappie are good on grubs, jigs, minnows and tube jigs on brush structure, standing timber and areas where water is 20-30'. Catfish are good on chicken liver, crawfish, cut bait, live bait, punch bait, shrimp, sunfish and worms in channels, coves, creek channels, points, river channel and river mouth.
 
Eufaula: May 28. The lake elevation is above average and the water clarity is normal. White, striped and hybrid bass show fair action on live shad and sassy shad below the dam.  Catfish are good on cut bait and live shad on the main lake, creek channels and river channel.  Largemouth and spotted bass fair on crankbaits and plastics covers and riprap.  Submitted by Game Warden Terry Springwater.
 
Hugo: May 28. Elevation normal. Water temperature is 71 and muddy. Largemouth and spotted bass are good on buzz baits, spinnerbaits and top water along brush structure, creek channels, points and standing timber. Blue catfish are fair on chicken liver, cut bait and shad below the dam. Submitted by Jay Harvey.
 
Konawa: May 30. Elevation is normal. Water temperature is 75 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass are fair on buzz baits, crankbaits, plastics and top water on brush structure, points, discharge and weed beds. Channel catfish are excellent on chicken liver, cut bait, shad and worms in coves, creek channels and the main lake. Striped bass and hybrid bass good on crankbaits and shad in main lake and points. Lower Mountain Fork: May 30. Elevation normal. Water clear. Rainbow trout are fair on powerbait in river channel. Stocked approximately 1,836 rainbow trout on May 25. Submitted by Mark Hannah
 
McGee Creek: May 14. Elevation below average, water is 70 and stained. Largemouth and spotted bass are fair on flukes, plastics, spinnerbaits and top water along brush structure, points, rocks and shorelines.  White crappie are good on minnows in creek channels and standing timber. Channel and flathead catfish are fair on chicken liver, cut bait and goldfish in creek channels, river channel and standing timber.  Report submitted by Larry Luman.
 
Murray: May 30. Elevation is normal. Water temperature is 68 degrees and clear. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass are fair on crankbaits, flukes, jerk bait, plastics and spinnerbaits on brush structure, points, rocks, standing timber and weed beds. White bass fair on crankbaits,and tube jigs on points, in creek channels and in the main lake. White crappie fair on jigs, minnows and tube jigs along brush structure, docks, standing timber and weed beds. Submitted by Jeremy Brothers.
 
Pine Creek: May 28. Elevation normal. Water clear. Largemouth bass are fair on plastics on points and creek channels.  Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows in brush structure and flats. Channel catfish are good on worms in the main lake.  Report submitted by Mark Hannah.
 
Robert S. Kerr: May 28. Elevation above average. Water is muddy. Blue catfish slow on live shad and shad below the dam, in the river channel and below Eufaula dam. Black crappie slow on jigs and minnows in brush structure and creek channels. Largemouth bass fair on buzz baits and spinner baits in creek channels and weed beds. Report submitted by J.D. Sardis: May 27. Lake elevation is above average and water temp is 74. Largemouth and spotted bass good on jerk baits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, jigs, plastics, tube jigs, spinnerbaits and top water in brush structure, points, riprap, rocks, shorelines, and standing timber. Catfish good on cut bait, live shad and sunfish in channels, flats, rocks, shorelines and the main lake.  White crappie are fair on hair jigs, minnows, and tube jigs in brush structure, rocks and standing timber.  Report submitted by Dane Polk.
 
Texoma: May 30. Lake elevation is above average. Water is 70 degrees and 615.2 stained. Striped bass and white bass goo on live shad in the main lake and river channel. Blue, Channel and Flathead catfish show fair action on cut bait, shad and live shad in river channels, creek channels and main lake. Black Crappie and White Crappie fair on jigs, hair jigs, inline spinnerbait, live bait, plastics, sassy shad, small lure and minnows on brush structure, creek channels, shorelines and riprap. Lots of fresh water is coming in, generation is 24 hours. Stripers have a few longer fish showing up. Submitted by Bob Wingo.
 
Wister: May 14. Water elevation is rising and temps are 76 degrees and murky. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, buzz baits and plastics in shallows. Blue and channel catfish are good on cut bait at the main lake. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows in brush structure, and main lake.  Report submitted by James Williams.
 
SOUTHWEST
 
Ellsworth: May 28. Elevation above average. Water is 70 and murky. White bass good on jigs, minnows and small lures. Channel and blue catfish fair on cut bait, punch bait and shad on points and rocks. Report submitted by Mike Carroll.
 
Ft. Cobb: May 16. Lake elevation is normal. Water temperature is 72 degrees and murky. Largemouth bass good on Alabama rig, spinnerbait, jerk bait, plastics, sassy shad and top water on brush structure, in riprap, in the shallows. White crappie, black crappie and saugeye good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, small lures and tube jigs on brush structure, docks, channels and points. Channel catfish, blue catfish, striped (hybrid) bass good on chicken liver, crawfish, cut bait, hot dogs, grasshoppers, goldfish minnows, shrimp and worms in creek channels, channels, riprap and points. Lawtonka: May 14. Elevation above average, water is 72 and clear. Saugeye action is fair on crankbaits and sassy shad in the main lake. Blue and channel catfish action is slow on cut bait, dough bait and worms on flats and points. Report submitted by Mike Carroll.
 
Tom Steed: May 16. Elevation is above average. Water temperature is 72 degrees and clear. White bass excellent on crankbaits and jigs on points, rocks and shallows. Catfish fair on cut bait stink bait in creek channels and rocks. Report submitted by David Smith.
 
Waurika: May 28. Elevation above average. Water 64. Catfish good on cut bait, punch bait and stinkbait in discharge, main lake, points and shorelines. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows along brush structure, docks and standing timber. White bass fair on crankbaits and minnows in coves and in main lake. Report submitted by Chris Stover.
