Jimmie Wayne Fields

Celeste, Texas -- Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Wayne Fields, 74, of Greenville are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Celeste Church of Christ. Brother Arnie Holmes and Dr. Grady King will officiate. Burial will be in the Celeste/Hogeye Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard.

Jimmie was born July 4, 1942 in Dallas. His parents were Jessie William and Jannie Marie Whatley Fields. He married Gracie Jenoice Lindsey June 3, 1963 in Dallas. He worked as a sheet rocker in the construction industry and later excelled in several businesses including the horse racing industry. He was also a member of the Celeste Church of Christ. He passed away at the Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville Monday, October 24, 2016.

He is survived by his wife: Gracie Jenoice Fields of Greenville; his daughter and son-in-law: Jenoa and Mike Lipsey of Greenville; his son and girl friend: Jimmie Fields and Bridgette Lummus of Royse City; his grandchildren: Heather Lipsey, Haden Lipsey and his wife, Alyssa, and Hannah Lipsey, all of Greenville; his sister: Joycie Hoots of Denton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Jefferson Fields.
