The Region C Water Planning Group (RCWPG) will hold a public hearing Friday, February 27, 2015, 1:00 p.m.,  pursuant to the Texas Water Code §16.053 and as directed by an Order of the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) issued on January 8, 2015. The public hearing will be held at Bob Duncan Center, 2800 South Center Street, Arlington, TX 76014. Phone: 817-465-6661.

This public hearing is for the purpose of soliciting public comments on proposed revisions to the 2011 Region C Water Plan that resolve an interregional conflict – relating to the inclusion of the Marvin Nichols Reservoir Project as a recommended water management strategy in the 2011 Plan – as described in the foregoing Order. The RCWPG will accept written and oral comments at the public hearing. All written public comments may be submitted to the RCWPG up to and including thirty (30) days prior to Friday, February 27, 2015, and should be submitted to:

The RCWPG is one of 16 regional water planning groups selected by the TWDB to help develop a comprehensive state water plan for Texas over the next 50+ years. Each water planning group is responsible for preparing and adopting a regional water plan for its area. The RCWPG is made up of 22 members representing a variety of interest groups.

Region C includes all or part of 16 counties in North Central Texas: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson, Henderson (Trinity River Basin portion), Jack, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise.
