Bonham, Texas -- Barbara Joyce Deets Bragg, 58, of Bonham passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Barbara has been laid to rest next to her parents at the Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texas where a private family interment was held Friday, October 4, 2013.  Services are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

Barbara Joyce Deets Bragg was born on March 1, 1955 in New Jersey, the daughter of Denver & Ruby (Carver) Deets.  Barbara graduated from Dodd City High School in 1972, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where she served for 6 years as Staff Sargent,  receiving her Honorable Discharge as a disabled veteran in 1978. Barbara worked at Union Pacific Railroad for several years and later worked for Ray Peeler Attorney in Bonham.

Barbara is survived by her son Beren Bragg and wife Alyssa of Sherman and the bright spot in her life, her granddaughter Marissa Ruby Bragg. Barbara is also survived by her sisters Carmelita Conine and husband Walter of Bonham and nephews Jay, David, Daren and niece Kathy of Florida, Jeanie & husband Bill and their children, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
