Sherman Community Players
Announces
The Annual Summer Dinner Theater Fundraising Benefit
Forever Plaid
By: Stuart Ross
Sponsored by: Hear Care
Directed by: Nikki Silva
August 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2013

To be performed the first two weekends of August, this dinner theater promises to be extra special.

Featuring the musical talents of Aaron Adair, Blake Rice, Paul Jordan, and Nick Timmerman, Forever Plaid is one of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory.  This deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the post humorous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.  Sponsored by Hear Care and directed by Denison High School Theater Director Nikki Silva.  Reservations can be made by calling Darlene Schweizer at 903-893-7652.

“This benefit dinner is a great opportunity for Sherman Community Players," says Anthony Nelson, Artistic Director of SCP.  "Ms. Silva, the director, has been earning her Master’s Degree in Theater Direction at TWU and needed to direct a public performance to complete her thesis.  She came to me about Forever Plaid and I found that it would be perfect for our Summer Fundraising Benefit.  And on top of a first rate director, we have a first rate cast in Aaron, Blake, Nick and Paul.”
