
This year’s event will be honoring local veterans and active duty military personnel. Audie Murphy Day will begin at 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. with a Veterans’ Registration at the First United Methodist Church located at 206 N. Main Street in Farmersville. As a special attraction during Audie Murphy Day, special military exhibits will be on display at the First United Methodist Church during the registration. Veterans and active duty personnel are invited to bring military memorabilia or photographs they wish to display.
The Rike Memorial Library at 203 Orange Street will also have extended hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow visitors to see the Audie Murphy display.
A flyover featuring the Commemorative Air Force will kick off the parade at 10 a.m. downtown. Veterans will be featured as riders in the parade.

Historic military vehicles, classic cars and more will also be a part of the parade.
A free program honoring local veterans, active duty personnel and Audie Murphy will begin at 10:45 a.m. and will include the Tri County Veterans Honor Guard, as well as remarks made by Honorable Cooke County Judge John O. Roane.
The Farmersville Historical Society will open the historic Bain-Honaker House Museum for free tours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 108 College Street.
The day’s activities will conclude with a reception from 12- 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church where lunch will be served for the veterans and active duty personnel.

10 a.m. Flyover by the Commemorative Air Force followed by the parade downtown
10:45 a.m. Program at Onion Shed. Reserved seating for Veterans. A historical remembrance of Audie Murphy, roll call of local vets, Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard, and guest speaker Honorable County Judge John O. Roane
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Historic Bain-Honaker House Museum opens for free tours at 108 College Street.
12- 1 p.m. Luncheon reception for Veterans at First United Methodist Church.
