Second skunk found positive for rabies in Bedford

On April 8, 2013, a second skunk was impounded in the area of Laurel Lane that has also tested positive for rabies.

The Bedford Animal Control Division is reminding residents that anyone who has contact with wild animals should use caution.

Anyone believing they have observed or come in contact with an animal they believe may be rabid should contact the Bedford Police Department at 817-952-2127 or the Texas Department of State Health Services Zoonosis Control Program at 512-776-7255.
