The Dodd City Hornets improved their district record to 2-1 with a home victory over Blue Ridge Tuesday. The Hornets pounded out 14 hits on their way to a 13-4 win.
Landon Liebel earned the win with a 10 strike-out performance, and also went 4-for-4 at the plate.
Liebel gave the Hornets the lead in the bottom of the third with a three- run home run to left field. Other hitters were Hunter Brent, 3 for 5 with a double, Dakota Brown, 2 for 4 with a double and 3 rbis, Clayton Williams, 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Kyle Turner, 1 for 3 with 3 RBI.
The next district action is Friday, when the Hornets travel to Sam Rayburn.
