The City of Commerce is asking that all check cashing stores, banks and other establishments be aware of counterfeit City of Commerce checks. 
The City of Commerce has been notified there are counterfeit checks being presented for payment at local establishments and out of town businesses.
City of Commerce Officials are asking that in the event a City of Commerce check is presented for payment, please verify the funds through the city’s accounting department or the city’s financial institution.
The city is asking that if a counterfeit City of Commerce check is presented to your establishment for payment, that you notify your local Commerce Police Department immediately.
