Saturday, August 11, 2012 was the debut of the newly built Electric Pulling Garden Tractor at the Lone Star Garden Pulling Tractor Association's pull in Blue Ridge, Texas, a Bill Halter Memorial Pull.
The first-ever pull of this E-tractor with the driver just learning how to drive an EV resulted in a 214.35' pull. The second and last pull of the evening the driver took it to 224.70' at 12.6 mph. The noise you hear in the background of the "SLED CAM" videos is the engine of the sled itself.
This E-Garden Tractor was a joint project between Bonham Service Center and Bonham ISD's ag mechanics class during the school year of 2011-2012.

Clint Minnick, teacher of the ag mechanics Cclass, and Ken Langham of the service center worked together with the students, to build this very cool and powerful electric garden tractor, demonstrating just how powerful and fun an electric-powered vehicle can be. Electric is not just for golf carts anymore, and they certainly don't have to perform like one.
