The board of the Creative Arts Center (CAC) in Bonham announced last Thursday that Lisa Avila has been hired as Executive Director. Avila, who is the Performing Arts Director in charge of the Kidz Krew Program, will remain the Kidz Krew Director.
 
"I am proud to be part of the arts center and will strive to bring more and more new faces into the gallery," Avila said Tuesday.  "We want to see more strangers become friends."
 
Citing the success of the recent Tribute to Music of Charlie Christian, Avila said music will remain a part of the cultural experiences offered at the CAC.
 
"Music is vital to a community and is entertainment that pleases most everyone," stated Avila. "The garden is a terrific venue for intimate concerts and we have more events planned in the coming weeks and months."
