SHERMAN, TEXAS—Austin College Commencement exercises for the Class of 2012 on Sunday, May 13, will include 19 students completing master’s degrees through the Austin Teacher Program as well as 313 bachelor’s degree candidates. The ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. on the Clyde L. Hall Graduation Court, north of Caruth Administration Building.
Latin honors of summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude will be announced during the ceremony based upon final grade point totals.
Austin College President Marjorie Hass will award honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees to Commander Stan Fornea, who will deliver the Commencement address; the Reverend Robert Crilley, who will present the Baccalaureate sermon on Saturday; and the Reverend Carroll “Bud” Pickett, Class of 1954.
