Historic downtown Hot Springs on Central Ave, Bathhouse Row
The 7th annual Stueart Pennington Running of the Tubs is May 12 in Hot Springs. The audience is encouraged to get in the spirit and bring your water gun, wear house slippers, your shower cap, your robe over your clothes to join in the day of fun while watching the parade!!!
Stueart Pennington Running Of The Tubs, an open bathtub race that highlights the city's colorful history of "We Bathe the World," on world-famous Bathhouse Row in downtown Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas.
The winning team will receive a traveling winner's trophy that it will keep until the next year's race. Individual team members will receive a trophy.
Two additional trophies will be given, one for the Most Original Tub and one for the Most Humorous Tub.

The rules change every year, especially after the race has started, but fundamental rules apply each year. For more details visit www.hotsprings.org
Some of the rules include -
* All team members must be 18 or older.
* The four team members pushing the tubs must wear hats of some type and shape and also some suspenders.
* Anything goes, including water balloons, costumes and race strategies.
All entry fees will be donated to the Downtown Merchants Christmas Tree Fund.
