The Dodd City Hornets defeated Silo, Oklahoma 10-8 in 10 innings on Saturday. The Hornets held an 8-4 lead going into the bottom of the 7th but Silo cleanup hitter Sandlin hit a grand slam to send the game into extra innings.
The game was scoreless through the next two innings. Dodd City scored two runs in their half of the 10th to clinch the victory.
Landon Liebel in relief of Jaylen Wallace was the winning pitcher. Landon Darwin led the Hornet attack with three extra base hits which included two home runs and a triple.
Liebel was 2 for 4 with a double, Kyle Turner had two hits which included an RBI triple.
The Hornets improve their season record to 14-4 and are now 10-2 in district play.
Dodd City will host Bland on Monday at 4:30
