At the April 18 meeting of the Bonham Rotary Club, Barbara Reeves and Bob Self with the Creative Arts Center brought their KFYN mobile radio broadcast to the Rotary meeting.

While on the air, some Rotarians were invited to come to the microphone and answer questions about their position in the local service club. Dr. Jerry Hopson stated that he has been a member of the Bonham Rotary Club since 1978 and he is also the club historian.

Dr. Dana Sisk stated that he has been a member since 1979 and he is this year’s Golf Tournament Chairman. He stated that the Annual Rotary Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 15 with a 1:00 start. He also stated that this is the club’s primary fund raiser for the year and that all the proceeds go back in to the community like the Special Olympics, dictionaries given to every 3rd grade student in Fannin County, and much more.

Others who spoke were: Bonham Mayor Roy Floyd, Judge Lauri Blake, Brad Dardaganian, Tommie Sue Turner, Rotary President Brent Speck.

Barbara and Bob have a radio show every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:35 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on KFYN Radio 1420 AM. They talk about all the happenings at the Creative Arts Center and around Bonham. The name of the show is “Art In The Afternoon” and you can also go to KFYN’s website at www.kfyn1420.com.

The Bonham Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Family Life Center.
