Leonard, Texas -- Funeral services for Mr. Henry Kenneth Cunnyngham, 92-year-old Pike resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Cross Pointe Baptist Church located at 22025 S. Hwy 78 Leonard.  Rev. Ed Long will officiate.  Burial will be in the Pike Cemetery.  Family visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. 

Mr. Cunnyngham was born October 20, 1919 at Blue Ridge.  His parents were Elbert Alton and Selma Carlton Cunnyngham.  He married Leona Mae Vandagriff in August of 1945 at Pike.  He worked in road construction as a motor grader operator retiring from Collin County.  He also worked as a farmer and rancher, enjoying raising and training horses. 

Mr. Cunnyngham was a very active member of the Cross Pointe Baptist Church, the Leonard Riding Club and the American Legion. He served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He passed away at Homestead of McKinney Thursday February 23rd. 

He is survived by his sister Ara Walker of Blue Ridge, as well numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Era Cunnyngham, and two brothers, Glen and Horice Ivyl Cunnyngham.
