Drug and Alcohol Awareness Assembly for Tom Bean High School Students
--Emergency Room Nurse – National Motivational Speaker--
Linda Dutil, RN, emergency department nurse from Maine and national motivational speaker will present a drug and underage drinking awareness school assembly at Tom Bean High School on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
Linda demonstrates to students what happens in the emergency room during a drug overdose or alcohol poisoning situation. She shows in detail (in a school assembly format) the stomach pumping process and educates students about the consequences of poor choices.
This presentation brings a very unique perspective. Linda shares intervention skills which empower young people to make good choices and stay safe. The program is visual, engaging, and interactive and leaves a lasting impression on students.
Teenagers are being exposed to drugs and alcohol at a very young age. It is during the adolescent years that they begin to form their decisions concerning drugs and alcohol.
