The Blue Ridge Tigers managed to hold the Honey Grove Warriors to only two points in the first period before Honey Grove's offense hit its stride in the second period to give the Warriors a 19-16 lead at intermission.

The teams traded baskets in the third period before a strong finish by the Honey Grove gave the Warriors a nine-point win, 46-37.

With the win Honey Grove improves to 18-6 on the year and 6-3 in District 17-A.

Charles Sanders hit a pair of triples and finished 14 points to lead Honey Grove, Darius Brown put in nine points, Cody Joyce dropped in eight points, Jeremy Patt scored six, Cam Brooks and Demontrae Finney both finished with three points, Dillion Baugh had two points and Hussian Jabai hit a free throw.

McCarley paced Blue Ridge with 14 points, Rainwater scored seven, Weatherford had six points, Blacketer finished with four points, Garcia threw in three points, Williams dropped in two points and Agan netted a free throw.
