The Paris District of TxDOT is pleased to announce the selection of John E. Grissom as the Grayson/Fannin Counties Maintenance Section Supervisor effective February 2, 2012. John has lived most of his life in Aubrey, Texas. He attended Denton High School and the University of North Texas where he played four years of college football and majored in Engineering Technology (construction).
John has spent the past 20 years in the construction industry. He has worked in all areas from using a shovel to operating heavy equipment to managing crews to managing a construction business. For the past 13 years John operated and managed Grissom Construction Company where he constructed commercial, civil, industrial and residential projects.
John and his wife, Jeni, have two daughters, Chloe (5) and Cora (3 mo). In his spare time, he enjoys wood working projects, working on vintage cars, planting garden crops, and flying model aircraft.
