Pike, Texas -- Funeral services for Jasper Ray Evans, 77-year-old Pike resident, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Pike Baptist Church.  Brother Don Brown will officiate.  Burial will be in the Pike Cemetery.  Family visitation will be Thursday February 2, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Pike Baptist Church. 

Mr. Evans was born August 12, 1934 at Princeton, Texas.  His parents were June and Bertha May Templeton Evans.  He was a Dairy Farmer and a member of the Pike Baptist Church.  He also served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He married Connie June Branscome September 20, 1958 at Pike, Texas.  He passed away Tuesday January 31, 2012 at the Medical Center of McKinney. 

He is survived by his wife:  June Evans of Pike; his son and daughter-in-law:  Brad and Corrie Evans of Ector; his daughters and sons-in-law:  Pam and Mickey McCarley of Pike and Judy and Terry Phifer of Blue Ridge; his sisters and brothers-in-law:  Verdie and Danny Crawford of Longview; Martha and Max Crosby or Orangeville and Linda and Larry Lewis of Mabank; his aunt:  Betty Moraskie of Mesquite; his 9 grandchildren and his 1 great-grandchild.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Ray Evans, and seven brothers and sisters.
