Bonham -- Commerce senior Raven Massey had 21 points to propel the Commerce Lady Tigers past the Bonham Lady Warriors, 42-30.

Commerce had built a 22-15 cushion late in the third period, but Bonham made a serious run at the lead.  Kaitlyn Fox drained a triple from the corner, Kala Simson sank two free throws and Madelyn Dolberry hit a long deuce as the Lady Warriors only trailed by one point, 23-22, going into the fourth quarter.

Julie Nguyen dropped in two points as Bonham slipped in front, 24-23, as the final period got underway.

Massey grabbed an offensive board and put Commerce in the lead to stay with a basket. As Bonham started downcourt, Massey came up with a steal and hit a hoop and a harm to give the Lady Tigers a 28-24 lead. Commerce went on to earn a 12-point win, 42-30.

The Lady Warriors are now 1-4 in District 9-3A.

Katelynn Bardwell put in 10 points to lead Bonham, Kaitlyn Fox scored seven, Madelyn Dolberry dropped in six points, Kala Simpson finished with four points, while Julie Nguyen and Chelsea Murphey both tossed in two points.

In addition to Massey's 21 points, Chelsea Love and McBee both had five points for Commerce, Harrison finished with four points, Henry scored three, with Rogers and Cooper each chipping in two points.
