McKinney, TX –  Join The Collin County Historical Society on February 25 at 2:00 p.m. as it proudly presents Perspectives of Vietnam, an exceptional look in to the affects of the Vietnam War and the aftermath through eyewitness accounts.

Jack Bick, a Collin County soldier serving as a photographer and reporter for the Public Information Office of the 9th Division, will bring a unique perspective of the war from a soldier’s point of view. A slide show of Jack’s images captured during his time in country will be included in the presentation.

Joining him will be Michelle Hong, who was among the boat people of 1976 as a teenager. Hear her story of survival in Cholon, an upper middle class suburb of Saigon, during the TET Offensive through her family’s daring escape from Vietnam.

In addition, several Collin College Students from Vietnam will join the discussion to acquaint us with today’s Vietnam.

The event will take place at the home of the Collin County Historical Society - 300 East Virginia Street, McKinney, TX 75069.
