Gainesville -- The Gainesville Lady Leopards reeled on their fourth consecutive district win and moved to 6-1 in District 9-3A with a 48-36 win over the Pilot Point Lady Cats.
These two teams were neck-and-neck in the first quarter before Gainesville poured in 21 points in the second period to go up 29-15 at intermission.
Pilot Point managed to shave two points off their deficit in the second half, but Gainesville held on for a 12-point win, 48-36.
Gainesville's Ariannah Kemp led all scorers with 20 points, Kiarah Manuel put up 11 points, Brittany Royal scored seven, Zhanice Lane and Destini Flowers each finished with three points, while Kaitlynn Romans and Annette Kirk both contributed two points.
Watson finished with 14 points to lead Pilot Point, Sheeder and Barrett both scored six, McElroy and Dunlap each threw in three points, with Batson and Switzer chipping in two points apiece.
