Randolph, Texas -- Graveside services for Mr. Roy Edward Lucas, 84-year old Randolph resident, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery.  Brother Randy McBroom will officiate.  There will be no family visitation. 

Mr. Lucas was born September 27, 1927 at Randolph, Texas.  His parents were Archie Edward and Ada Oleta McCorstin Lucas.  He married Melba Jo McCartney May 15, 1954 in Leonard.  He worked as an aircraft machinist and was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.  He passed away Thursday January 26, 2012 at the Homestead of Denison. 

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law:  Debra and Charles Williams of Randolph; his daughter: Vickie Lucas of Randolph; his grandson and wife:  Shane and Dawn Williams of Anna; his great grandchildren:  Jada and Kaitlyn Williams and Justin Sampley; his sister:  Kathryn Oleta Cooper of Arlington; his sister-in-law:  Leola Lucas of Arlington.  He is also survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. 

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl James Lucas and a sister and brother-in-law, Rita Marie and Billy James Craft.

Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
