Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Charlie O. Walker, age 89 of Bonham, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Rev. W.C. Bill Beasley will officiate the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery. Honors will be rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard. Mr. Walker passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Clyde Cosper State Veterans Home in Bonham.

Charlie Walker was born on July 7, 1922 in Ravenna, TX to Alfred and Ona (Bethel) Walker. He married Audrey Mae (Turner) Walker on July 7, 1949 in Bonham, TX. She preceded him in death on July 12, 2001. Charlie served in the United States Army; he was retired from the Texas Highway Department, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham, TX.

Charlie is survived by his Sister-Betty Dudley of Bonham, TX; along with nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Junior Wilkerson, Don Manhart, Rusty Monks, Aubrey Conley, Justin Crowley, and Sid Andrew. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Harper, Gene Parr, Blanton Hanes, Ray William, Jack Houston, and Rev. W. C. Bill Beasley.

Family visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
